Arrival at Dar es Salaam International Airport you will be meet by our representative and transfer to the Golden Tulip Hotel in Dar es Salaam, afterward you will have a safari briefing.

On this day after breakfast you will drive to Selous Game Reserve drive along the great southern highway all the way to Kibiti Town and then turn to the left and drive toward Selous. Lunch box will be served on the way, reach Selous in the afternoon. Check in at your Camp before starting Boat safari in Rufiji river, where you will spot a lot of hippos and crocodiles while you enjoy birds singing aside the river on their nests.

After breakfast leaves the Camp and go on a game drive around this remote and unspoiled wildlife area wild dogs can sometimes be seen around Selous, buffaloes Elephants, Giraffes, Wildebeests, Lions, Hyenas and sometimes Leopard are some of the animal species to be spotted. Break for lunch and in the afternoon we will take you for a canoeing trip at Rufiji River, in this trip expect to see Hippos, crocodile frogs and other aquatic creature, birds are also abundant in selous, Bee eaters along the river walls, Pelicans, Ibises and many more. Return to the Camp later afternoon.

On this day, you will have an early morning game drive with breakfast box and lunch box, visiting the Sand River, Lake Tagalala and the areas around Selous’ Grave. If time allows later afternoon you can go for a nature walk guided by an armed Ranger.

Early morning departure for Mikumi National park, drive along the villages and local farms until you reach the Tazara railway then to Morogoro Town. Break for lunch at Morogoro Town before proceeding to Mikumi, Check in at Tan Swiss Lodge and depart for sunset game drive at Mikumi National Park. Mikumi National Park is one of the Southern Tanzania Park with an interconnection with Selous Game Reserves. Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, wildebeests, lions, Hyenas and others are among the animals in this Park, a number of bird species can also be seen both aquatic and forest birds. Rarely, Tree climbing lion can be seen on branches of acacia. Drive back to the Lodge during or after sunset.

On this day 6 of your Remote Southern Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar you will leave for an early morning game drive at Mikumi National Park, see different animal behaviors in morning time, Elephants, Buffaloes and other nocturnal animals. Break for lunch at mikumi bandas and come out again for sunset game drives.

Depart Mikumi for Ruaha National Park after breakfast, drive across Kitonga hills with Zigzagging corners all the way to Iringa Town at the hills before going down to Ruaha National Park. Picnic lunch will be served on the way. Reach the gate late afternoon and have an en route game drive to Ruaha River Cottages with a private safari chef. Ruaha is the largest, unspoiled and almost unexplored National Park in Tanzania. Unlike the northern Tanzania Park Ruaha offers a unique Safari experience due to its wonderful terrains and wildlife richness. It is a park with enormous huge Elephant herds found nowhere else in Africa.

With at least one early morning of game drives at the remote Ruaha to see nocturnal predators coming back from their long night of hunting or Lioness organizing a morning hunting while other animals are coming out from their hiding place ready to starting a new day in the wild Serengeti. Huge herds of Elephant, large pride of Lion and the rare Wild dogs are often seen in this Park, other animals are Giraffes, Buffaloes, wildebeest, Jackals, hyenas, Leopard and lots of antelopes. For bird watchers Ruaha is great, Secretary bird, Ostrich, Herons, ducks and other forest birds can be encountered in this park. Ruaha river and its attributes are the source of water in this park.

After breakfast you will leave the hotel for Stone Town en route you will do our famous spice tour that takes you to the local farms and plantations where you can see, touch and even test most of the spices growing in this area. Our knowledgeable guide will give you in-depth information on how they grow and their uses in cooking, cosmetics as well as in medicine. Later you will test some of the tropical fruits of the season before we invite you for lunch in one of our family where you can test some of Zanzibar dishes cooked with spices. Afterward drive to your hotel in Stone Town. If you wish in the afternoon we can take you for The historical Stone Town tour or to The Prison Island.
